Why I Took A Break From Blogging

Why I Took A Break From Blogging

The past three months have been filled with me trying to figure myself out. Now that I feel somewhat grounded, I’m back! Let’s talk about it.

When I got back home from Canada, which was the 9th of November, I felt very out of place. This is normal for a lot of people that travel for a long time so I wasn’t making a big deal out of it. I felt like it was home, but it wasn’t home at the same time. For my 18th birthday, which was on the 11th, I really did not want to do anything. I just went out to dinner with my family and called it a day. It was very nice but a little weird being back home.

Soon after, I had my third thanksgiving home. Canada has its thanksgiving celebrations in October so I already had two with my family there. November was a chill month for me. I was just trying to get back into the motions of things and hang out with my friends. But December was one of my busiest months by far. Not just for me, but my whole family. I had to prepare for my second trip in my GAP year, Australia. My closest family friend was getting married. I had to prepare for applying to colleges, which is still a struggle but I’m almost there. Then Christmas came around. We were so busy, we ended up putting up our christmas tree on the 23rd. But we all got through it. I also did something I have been thinking about for a long time. I CUT ALL MY HAIR OFF! I have been so scared to do it because of what I thought people would think. I thought that my hair was the only thing that made me pretty. But since I cut it off, I have been thankful for it. It has made things a lot easier for traveling. I also get to learn a lot more about my hair and it’s growth. (watch the video below:))

As we walk into 2020, my main goal is to grow more on my blog and my youtube channel. I’m looking more into the mindset of ‘Don’t think about it, just let it grow."‘ What I mean by this is that I’m not going to compare my growth to someone else. I’m going to work on my stuff and not think about the numbers or how many likes/dislikes. Cause in my mind, that’s how you fail. Another goal is to focus on clearing my acne. I have been dealing with acne for almost 9 years. It has really taken a toll on my self-confidence. But I have been doing a lot of research about different products and things that people do to help with this skin condition. Beauty product reviews, talks, and tips are something that will be coming very soon to my blog writes as well.

As I end off the first blog post of 2020, I would just like to thank everyone who actually reads this. I’m still new to all of this and I don’t think I’m the best writer but I’m working on it. Please stay tuned for blog posts about Australia, beauty products, etc.
