mini travel skincare routine
So when it comes skincare, I am very much a skin juckie. Dealing with ance myself, I have grow to love skin care & research it more. If you read my last blog post, you would know they I have been dealing with dehydrated skin & a bunch of acne. So, I whipped up this skin care routine focusing on those two problems.

First step, cleanser. The cleanser that I chose is the Youth To The People Superfood Cleanser. This cleanser is amazing & the mini size is around $10 to $13. The big size is around $36 to $47. It is one of Sephora’s clean products, which means that it will not contain the sulfates SLS and SLES, parabens, formaldehydes and formaldehyde-releasing agents, phthalates, mineral oil, retinylpalmitate, oxybenzone, coal tar, hydroquinone, triclosan, and triclocarban. The three main highlighted ingredients are:
- Kale: A leafy veg that is a must-have for more than just your morning juice; rich in skin-loving phytonutrients and vitamins C, E, and K to strengthen and leave skin glowing.
- Spinach: A lightweight skin soother with cooling properties and rich with conditioning essential fatty acids.
- Green Tea: An anti-bacterial and anti-inflammatory ingredient that keeps skin clear.

Next step that I only do the the morning is toner. The one is use is REN CLEAN SKINCARE Ready Steady Glow Daily AHA Toner. I got the mini size on amazon for $8 but the big size is around $30 to $45. This toner is also one of Sephora’s clean products. It is good for all skin types & is gentle on the skin. Some main ingredients are:
-Lactic C38: Diminishes discoloration.
-Azelaic Acid Precursor: Prevents the melanin production, promoting a balanced skin tone; addresses uneven skin tone and dark spots while improving skin quality for a brighter and more luminous appearance.

After this, I follow up with moisturizer. The one that I use is the Belif True Cream Aqua Bomb. The mini size is $22. This moisturizer is good for oily/combo/normal skin types. After using it for a couple of days, my face still gets really oily after some time. Not too sure if I will continue to use it but it does help if the dryness that I have in some areas. Some of the main ingredients:
-Lady's Mantle: Provides antioxidants and has pore minimizing benefits; helps remove free radicals from skin.
-Malachite: Antioxidant that neutralizes free radical activity.
-Plantin: Creates moisture seal on skin.
-Oat Husk: Attracts moisture (humectant).

My last step for the morning is SPF. This is the most important step due to the other products I use but it is hard to find a good one for combo, black skin. AHAs & retinol make your skin sensitive to sunlight & can cause harm if not sunscreen is put on. The one that I picked up is the Sun Bum SPF30 stick. Now would this be my first choice as a sunscreen, no. After a few hours, my skin is extra oily.

For the night time, i use the same moisturizer & cleanser. As I said before, I only use the toner in the morning due to the retinoid I use at night. I started using Differin Gel, which is just Adapalene 0.1%. My face isn’t peeling or hurting, so i’m liking it so far. My skin is purging though. Purging happens where you frequently break out & disappears faster than a normal pimple.
