Last Day in Toronto
My last day in Toronto was a day of exploring… at least for the first few hours of it.

So the night before my last day in Toronto, I had a pretty hard thing going to sleep. It was so mad that I even called my parents at 12am. I guess you could say I was just nervous & kind of sad that I was leaving Toronto. I had just got comfortable with everything & now I have to leave. Even though I’m excited to see a new place, I’m sad I have to leave my family in Toronto. I know that one day I will come back though. After talking to my parents & reading, I went to sleep around 2 am… my first mistake.

So do to the fact that I went to bed late, I woke up late. I was trying to wake up early because, in Canada, it was the Climate Change Strike. Climate Change is something that I am very passionate about so I wanted to go & support the march & rally. It started at 11 am but since I was taking the bus & train downtown, I wanted to leave the house before 10 am. I set the alarm for 8 am… but ended up getting up at 9:10 am. After getting ready, I left the house at 10 am. With the bus & train, it would take about an hour to get to Queen’s Park; where the rally was taking place. So due to the fact that I missed my bus & got off at a later stop on the train, I got to the rally around 11:30 am. Besides getting to the rally late & being on a crapped train, I was proud of myself for taking the public transit. I had some help from a nice lady who was meeting up with her daughter at the march. I was proud to be apart of it & was proud of the turnout. More than 20,000 people were there.

After staying at the rally for 45 minutes, I went to my new stop, Kensington Market. Now, my family took me to the market after a month before for the street festival. At the end of every month, they have a street festival in the market. So, I just wanted to go back & walk around, take pictures, & but some new skincare stuff (only one thing though). But after spending my money on that, I was hungry & broke. So I walked back to the train station & took the train & bus back home. So the morning was pretty active & I just spend the rest of the day getting my stuff together/checking into my flight, washing clothes, & getting work done.

So, what did Toronto teach me? Not to be afraid to get lost & explore.
